Georges & Vincent Laval - 2026 Ex Cellar

GEORGES & VINCENT LAVAL

CHAMPAGNE, CUMIERES

"Vincent Laval makes some of the most idiosyncratic and compelling wines in Champagne." - Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com

Tucked away in the sun-drenched amphitheatre of Cumières, Vincent Laval operates on a scale that feels more like Burgundy than the big houses of Reims - tending his tiny 4-hectare garden with a devotion that borders on the monastic.

Since taking the reins from his father Georges - who famously turned organic in 1971 after being shocked by the presence of farming chemicals in Arctic ice - Vincent has pushed the estate to even greater heights of transparency. His wines aren't just "organic"; they are living, breathing expressions of a terroir that has never seen a drop of synthetic chemistry.

These are crystalline, head-spinning wines of startling complexity. Our 2026 Official Release is now available for ex-cellar reservation. As always with Laval, the quantities are minuscule, and the soul is immense. Don't miss these.

VINCENT LAVAL

LES VIGNES DE MON ONCLE

£ 720 IB per 6x75cl OC

Pinot Noir (60%), Chardonnay (30%), et Meunier (10%)
Two Vintage Blend (2021 + 2022)

"A new wine in this range, NV Les Vignes de Mon Oncle is a deep, substantial Champagne that shows all the savory and mineral intensity that is such a signature of Cumières. Dried orchard fruit, white flowers, mint and white pepper open first. Brighter citrus-driven inflections appear later, as Chardonnay takes the leading role in the wine's profile."(93, Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com)

GEORGES LAVAL

LES CHENES BRUT NATURE

2022 VINTAGE: £ 960 IB per 6x75cl OC

2021 VINTAGE: £ 1,350 IB per 3x150cl OC

100% Chardonnay - From a south-facing parcel with chalky subsoil on the east side of Cumières

"..a wild, exotic wine. Passion fruit, mint, lemon confit, marzipan and hard candy come alive in a striking, totally mesmerising Champagne. Bright saline notes shape a long, persistent finish with distinctly exotic overtones. The layers of dimension and textural density are simply mind-blowing. This is a phenomenal wine for the vintage, or any vintage for that matter." (Antonio Galloni on the 2021 release)

GEORGES LAVAL

LES HAUTES CHEVRES PREMIER CRU 2021

£ 960 IB per 6x75cl OC

Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay - New Blend
Situated above Cumières on clay-limestone soil. Low yields. Only 1,776 made.

"The 2021 Brut Nature Les Hautes-Chèvres is a terrific wine from Vincent Laval in this very challenging vintage. It is perhaps a bit light in overall structure, but other than that, the 2021 is superb. Plum, kirsch, incense, hazelnut and dried flowers gently fill out the layers. There are no hard edges or awkward contours here whatsoever. Les Hautes-Chèvres is mostly Pinot Noir and Meunier. There is some Chardonnay in this vintage, as snow protected vines from frost in upper elevations. Yields were 2,000 kilos for a parcel of 1.1 hectares—in other words, tiny. This is another eye-opening Champagne in terms of what was possible in 2021. No dosage. Disgorged: March 2025." (94, Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com)

VINCENT LAVAL

COTEAUX CHAMPENOIS CUMIERES ROUGE 2022

£ 900 IB per 6x75cl OC

100% Pinot Noir - Still Wine - 1.089 Bottles Produced.

"Matured for 14 months in oak—using seasoned barrels from Radoux along with some new wood from Tonnellerie de Champagne—and followed by an additional 15 months in tank, Vincent Laval’s 2022 Côteaux Champenois Cumières Rouge is showing beautifully. It bursts from the glass with a fragrant aromatic range of red plum, cherry, clove and peony with a hint of iris. Medium- to full-bodied, vibrant and concentrated, the wine reveals silky, ripe tannins and a deep, harmonious profile. The finish is perfumed and persistent, providing a compelling example of what Champagne can deliver in a warm vintage and sun-drenched site. It is well worth seeking out, as it’s more than a curio. Crafted from Pinot Noir crushed by foot and macerated for 14 days with gentle pump-overs prior to barrel aging, the wine includes fruit from parcels not yet certified organic. As such, it is released under Vincent Laval’s personal name rather than under the Georges Laval label." (92, Kristaps Karklins, The Wine Advocate)
