In producing the most distinctive, site-driven Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, La Follette partners with family-owned vineyards. They work closely together to ensure the farming is done in order to allow the wines to express the distinct nature of their location. Grapes from each location gain the full benefit of the microclimate, clonal selection, and constant attentive eye of the vineyard manager. “With each vintage, our understanding deepens and the wines become more reflective of that place.”

The team at La Follette work with seven different highly sought-after vineyards, all celebrating different expressions of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, most of which have been tended by the same families for generations. Black Road Vineyard is La Follette’s exclusive single vineyard offering.
