Hot on the heels of just released 2022 Carruades de Lafite, Château Duhart-Millon was another highlight of Pauillac, captivating and inviting in its roundness and openness. The micro- vinification introduced in 2020 thanks to dedicated vats for each plot has never delivered a more precise and detailed illustration of the estate as with the 2022 vintage. The vines have clearly reached their prime, and are able to speak loudly thanks to the caring handling from the Lafite team.
Commendable work was also done with the Second Vin, Moulin de Duhart. A team favourite for early approachability and pure epicurean pleasure.

” The 2022 Duhart-Milon is racy and explosive right out of the gate. Ripe dark cherry, plum, cloves, licorice, menthol and mocha fill out the layers in a deep, wonderfully expressive Duhart. Firm tannins extend the finish nicely. I imagine the 2022 will require at least a few years in bottle to be at its best, but it is pretty showy today. “
