Continue north and you immediately cross over into Morey-Saint-Denis. Les Sentiers shares a border with Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Chambolle-Musigny as a whole is known for its light, stony soils, but Les Sentiers has a higher proportion of clay mixed in with the limestone, giving a brown hue (Bonnes-Mares is more red). The clay gives slightly more effective water storage for the vines as well as greater access to minerals, which ultimately leads to denser, more powerful styles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Groffier&#8217;s vines average 80 years old from just two hectares of vineyards that border Les Amoureuses on the north-east.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8220;Les Sentiers&#8221; is French for &#8220;the trails&#8221;, and denotes the paths that once ran throughout the vineyard.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>2009 VINTAGE<\/strong><br \/>\n2009 attracted considerable attention for its ripe, seductive personality. Many producers remarked about the ease with which the wines were made.
